My TC Electronics Hall of Fame Reverb 2 provides me with all the reverb I need in a live gig situation.

Although it sounds good, it is WAY to complex to make it useable in a live gig. Maybe for studio work it would be great.

Very cool unit! From the thumbnail i was expecting it to be larger, do they have any plans to build a full 42 rack space version? You know a 74 inch version? Something wall height to stand by a big plate verb in the studio? Beautiful space that verb adds 🤘🏽

Fascinating. So cool to see two elite musicians talking to each other -- not to an audience -- sharing their skill, knowledge, enthusiasm, and encouragement. It was nice to be a fly on the wall for that.

If I’m understanding correctly, the S1 can use amp sims from the Prime App, or are there amp sims built in? If so, how many? I don’t need the looper/drums, just looking for something like the Tank G that has built in amps and IRs. Something small to use for open mic where you can’t bring your 100 watt Recto. Anybody compare the two? I just got the Tank G yesterday and haven’t had a chance to play it much. If there are amp sims in the S1 that are noticeably better than the Tank G, I might go for the S1.

Just purchased a Pro500 and was pleasantly surprised. I had seen videos where people had sand fretts, well that's not a great big deal when you pay 250.00 (that was my cost), but I didn't, the fretts were polished, no frett sprout. I did remove strings and clean and oil up the frett board but I've done that with guitars that cost 4 and 5 times as much the neck was straight. I did put in a bone nut that I already had. I'm pleased to see this video because I knew I would acquire more plugin pickups.

I had been frustrated all week because every music theory video I watched seemed too complicated. I was starting to lose motivation until this video came to save me at twelve in the morning! Thank you sm man, you’re an amazing teacher.

This is the only guitar you can trust being shipped to you by mail. Too much can go wrong with wooden guitars -from heat, humidity, etc.. Even so I spent about 2 weeks adjusting the guitar for close to perfect intonation. Like you I began with the lowest setting on the bridge (fast action playing)- but even before that look down the fret board and see if the inner truss rod needs turning to straighten the neck. They give you the perfect tool for the neck truss rod. But the trouble with fine tuning the little screw positions in the bridge involves experiencing flat sounding strings because you just sharped the string next to it. You may go back and forth then wait away to see how the molecules settled a day later. The point is it has the ability to be adjusted to near perfection. The 2 built in speakers are magical. The sound comes from around the guitar, not directly out of the guitar. I didn't pursue the alternate blue tooth settings yet. I simply turn on the little Muzen FM radio and play along to the song on the radio. Even if I don't know the song, most of the time that first reverb setting adds great depth to the quality of the music. Sometimes the recordings played are in tune; 'Wild Horses' by the Stones for example.

Probably the best 5150 iconic amp review I have heard so far... great job! By the way... I just bought one of these 2 days ago.

I love mine. Been playing it to death. However, the zero fret is starting to show divots, so when it is toast I’m not sure how I will replace it. Too bad they did not go with stainless steel considering how they construct the fretboard.

Looks good for sitting on the porch to mess around with.

Compared to the EVH 5150III line, the Iconic amps sound A LOT better to my taste. I hated the 5150lll's overly nasal, artificial, plasticy sound. Sounded as if you had a wah pedal cranked almost fully open. Iconic series, while certainly modern, do sound a lot more vintage and has a lot more natural sound, with a beefier thumping low end.
